MOSCOW, February 25 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. South Korean company Samsung on Sunday introduced new smartphones Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +. The presentation took place in Barcelona at the International Mobile Congress.

The design of gadgets differs from the previous generation of flagships only in that the elements of the rear panel are located vertically. The fingerprint scanner is located under the camera module, which solves the problem of lens contamination.

The diagonal of the "infinite" display S9 and S9 + is 5.8 and 6.2 inches respectively, the maximum resolution is Quad HD + (1440 x 2880 pixels). The amount of RAM varies from 4 to 6 gigabytes. Both versions of the flagship received 64 gigabytes of internal memory and a slot for microSD cards.

The junior model is equipped with a 12-megapixel sensor, while the older one received a dual camera with identical resolution and f-1.5 f / 2.4 f-stop. In addition, users will be able to create personalized self-images.

Novelties support three methods of biometric authentication - on the iris of the eye, fingerprint or using the function of face recognition. The Galaxy S9 and S9 + also featured the Dedicated Fingerprint feature, which allows you to use one fingerprint to unlock the smartphone, and the other to access the protected folder.

Smartphones for the first time presented the application SmartThings, which allows using a gadget to manage "connected" home appliances and smart home devices.

The heart of the new models was the 10-nanometer chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

Official sales of flagships start on March 19. In Russia, the price for the younger model is 59.99 thousand rubles, for the older one - 66.99 thousand rubles.
