We now might have an idea when to expect the OnePlus 6T to be unveiled. The image of an invitation for the Indian market was posted by a Weibo user today, and if it is legitimate, the phone will be unveiled on October 17th. OnePlus even throws in a tag line, "Unlock the speed." This references the under-display fingerprint scanner expected to be featured on the phone.

In fact, a screenshot we showed you last week not only revealed that OnePlus is calling the embedded biometric reader "Screen Unlock," the October 17th date on the screen hinted at the phone's unveiling on that date. Now, the leaked image of the invitation seems to confirm that the latest OnePlus handset will first see the light of day on that date.

According to what is said to be a leaked retail box for the OnePlus 6T, the phone is expected to carry a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform under the hood. The box lists 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. A dual camera setup is said to be on back (12MP primary with variable f/1.5-f/2.4 aperture + 20MP secondary with 3D Stereo sensor) along with a front-facing 25MP AI camera for selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights will be a pair of 1850mAh batteries that charge to 40% in ten minutes.

If you haven't circled October 17th on your calendar yet, you might want to do so now.
