It's been almost four full years since the iPad Mini has been updated; technology, especially Apple's, has changed quite significantly since then. There were even some moments we thought we might not see another iPad Mini, but alas here we are looking at the fifth-generation, 2019 iPad Mini.

It doesn't look much different -- at all -- but it is, after all, a 7.9-inch tablet; no one is expecting revolutionary changes there. What really has piqued people's interest is the new A12 chip inside which is a substantial upgrade from the A8 powering its predecessor. Apple even advertises editing videos on the newest iPad Mini, which may also be aided by the newly-added support for the Apple Pencil. The display also has some key upgrades with True Tone technology, wide color gamut (DCI-P3), and 1.8% reflectivity.
