Why is blackberry excluded from this poll?
As a tech geek I own 4 different phones. The usual 20$ cheap phone (nokia), a Huawei Ascend P7, a Samsung S5 and recently (last week) I ventured into the Windows Phone market by purchasing the new Windows 8.1 operated HTC One M8 (it is currently limited to the market in the US but I have contacts ;) ) And I can honestly say the windows phones are so much better than Android performance and durability wise. I had first ventured into the windows phone market 2 months ago buying an entry level windows phone (Nokia Lumia 520) which was a windows 8 phone but a month after buying it Nokia released the Windows 8.1 update for it. 10 minutes after updating and playing around with it I decided to upgrade the phone itself for better hardware, hence the HTC. The reason I say Windows is vastly superior to Android is the response time/processor power per application. On my S5 the phone pretty much heats up if I run an application or game and receive a call, rendering the phone sluggish for a few minutes after the call is disconnected. It takes more than a minute for the Samsung to cool down and return to it's normal operating standard, while on the windows phone I can pretty much be logged into teamviewer fixing a client's remote computer, talking on the phone using speaker phone and the phone's performance isn't affected. There would be a slight heating of the device, but not as hot as the S5. The downside to windows phones however is the limited market applications, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that more developers would take interest in windows phone apps and the market will expand
I strongly recommend Windows phones. Hope my review was helpful and thank you all for an intriguing post
i converted from android to iphone and haven't looked back. i guess i've been trying to simplify my life, and the iphone helps with that. i used to be more of a tweaker, but now i want things to just work.
I love android. Never used an iphone or a windows phone so I can't say anything about them.
Android is best
Android is my favorite OS
Android, but mostly because I hate lock-ins (got a Nexus 4, getting a Nexus 9); it's also the reason why I stay away from Samsung (unfortunately because I think they have a great product, but I hate shackles even if padded and gold-plated :P).
Android for me
I do not like iOS one bit (including Macs and iTunes), so it was an easy choice.
I actually really like the interface of Windows Phone, but unfortunately their app store is nonexistent.....
Samsung Galaxy S4
4G LTE
awesome speed
my vote for android
I'm an iFan.
Nothing to say bad words about iDevice, the bestest.
My vote for android, i like him, fast, more applications, light, don't like iphones or windows mobiles !
I chose Android Plain Simple and lots of phone to chose.
iPhone because it suite my needs , i have tried android before and i didn't like it
I am happy with my Galaxy 4G S4. I would need a real good reason to switch to an apple like an app that i could use very much but not available for android.
I prefer Android. I have both iOS and Android but I prefer Android because there's more freedom and I can do my work easily. If I'm using iOS, I could be limited to certain basic functions, so it can be a pain.
iPhone for people with IQ less than 100
Windows for people with IQ 100-120
Android for people with IQ above 120
Android is the best
iPhone is better for me.
Android is much better. Android is an operating system that is much easier to use it.
It gives a lot more options than the iphone
So my wote is for Andorid
These are all very small differences and all comes down to personal preference between iOS and Android. The only one that might lower the user experience on iOS is the Google apps.
Personally I think iOS looks much cleaner. So, I prefer a cleaner phone and not having to worry about scattered files from manually syncing and SD cards and stuff.
Android!
Open OS is so much better and gives you an enormous variety of unique configurations for your own likings,
Thanks to all dedicated modifiers out there that's making it possible!
Once you go "Android" you never go back!
I've tried all of them, and I think I will stick to the iPhone. Not because the fancy logo, but it never crashed on me yet, it's very stable for me.
Windows for me, Android looks good on the face of things but I think it's too open and as such open for abuse. It's got all the apps but I find there's a trust issue with the store, at least in my opinion.
IOS just doesn't feel right to me, Apple have started to lag innovation wise and are sticking with the tried and tested these days. My windows phone is a year old model and with the new iPhone launch I was surprised to see that it was, with the exception of a few minor upgrades, still current compared to the tech in the new iPhone.
I love the fact that the windows phone isn't just a bunch of icons on the screen but still standardised similar to the way the iPhone. Android has nice skins but they differ so much from one manufacturer to another that you don't always get to choose your favourite handset with the best interface.
Android for now, a thought for iPhone is in my head from time to time but not now. Windows Phone will never be a choice.
I personally own a android phone. It is less restrictive compared to Apple products. I can't stand iTunes restricting everything you do. hahahah.
Tho I agree that apps on iOS are better, but you'd have to pay for most of the good apps.
Android is open sources, iphone is not, android has options sizes different components you get to choose the best for you iphone decides you are too stupid for that,
Android is cheaper for as good a product.
Android has torrenting apps that you can download without needing to jail break it.
Android for mobile is like win for pcs.
It became more popular than ios. With more apps. No need for stupid itunes to transfer data to your device. Prices are more reasonable.
imo it just depends on what you use the phone for.
little things, go windows, cheaper; basic functions
simple things with some complex things, fb, etc. iphones
a wide array of possible things, including games and potentially other things, android
Android....open source, If You can Think It, There is allready an app for it ;D
Can do more than my Win7 :D
I have an iPhone 5S, and I decided for an iPhone this time (I used Android before) because I got a Macbook - which I required for my graphic design work, so they are more compatible and can easily sync stuff between the two. But I think both iPhone and Android have their pro's and con's. I have no experience with Windows phone, so I can't comment much, except that I've seen many popular apps that exist for both iPhone and Android are not available for Windows.
Apple is overpriced, but part of me believes it is worth it for the quality and ease of use.
i like iPhone but iam on windows phone right now!
I had an iPhone 3GS and iOS was ok but after that I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S4 that really changed everything ! Now I'm a proud owner of Huawei Ascend Mate 7 so I vote for 'customized' Android :D
I got to say after having all three I truly prefer android. The fact I can run emulators, ability to read ad play different file types, and have access to a decent developer supported app store. I go with android and since I am a ps fan boy you know I have the xperia z3
I don't think I've seen a single Windows phone in the wild yet...they have too much competition to be a success. Like another Zune
It has to be iPhone, simple yet powerful.
