More evidence confirms Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 edge will soon get Oreo in the US
It's no surprise that Samsung plans to update both the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones to Android 8.0 Oreo, so the only mystery that remains to be solved is the moment the South Korean company chooses to do it.
We've reported earlier this month that the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge with Android Oreo on board have been certified at Wi-Fi Alliance. Now we have more evidence that suggests US carriers will be delivering the long-awaited update as well.
Four Galaxy S7/S7 edge variants – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon have been recently spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance, and all are powered by Android 8.0 Oreo. This means that all major carriers in the US are readying the update and will soon kick off the roll-out.
Although the unlocked versions of Samsung's last year flagships might be the first to receive the update, customers in the US won't be left without Android Oreo for too long.
