Does anyone know how to increase download speed. My maximum download is about 800Kb/s and upload is about 100Kb (connect to speedtest server, not torrent). And on torrent, I never get more than 200Kb/s (for multiple torrents)
I do not restrict upload speed and actually for some torrents, my upload speed is 2-3 times of download and there are 200-300 peers but I only got connected to 2-3 peers. Will increases in number of peers connected will increase download speed and how?
Will adjusts in utorrent increase speed to maximum download possible, how? Is there any speed boost program for torrent?
For more info, I use Windows XP Sp3, utorrent 3, computer with enough hardware strength (2.2 Core 2, 4Gb Ram, 500 Hybrid HDD)

people will tell you tweaks for utorrent etc but they will make not make MUCH difference at all, its to do with what you are paying for and the connection you are getting...and you may even be getting throttled also by your isp

I agree with Kristy31, people will tell you to tweaks for utorrent, but it won't make much difference. All is that you've to pay more to your ISP, in order to get high download speed and upload as well.

All these tweaks won't make any difference. At least not a big one.
And it's also possible to make the speeds even slower.
Especially some registry changes are pretty dangerous and useless.

Alot also depends on the tracker you're using and the health of the torrent. Some torrents and trackers are blazing fast and some are just shit slow.

are paying 10$ for 10MB then you have to pay 20$ for 20MB hehe you got the point.

I'm trying to download the following:
How its made (43.6G), most of the times there are almost 400 peers and I'm only connected to fewer than 10. This torrent was from thepiratebay. As for this one, I only want season 12-17
How its made (27.4Gb), season 1-11. I'm not sure from where I downloaded this and it is not mentioned in the comment either. I sometimes download some from scencehd, some from others (bit-hdtv, hd-space, etc.) but can not recall from where I got this.
By the way, is it true that chdbits is second best after hdbits in term of HD content and download speed? what about scenehd?
