I've decided that I'm never going to purchase anything for an English tracker since I don't want to risk being banned for buying and, worse, having that tracker report me to other trackers as an invite buyer.

I wanted to ask, how likely is the situation I just mentioned, and how much less likely is it if I buy an invite to a foreign tracker like CHDbits (all my other trackers are English). Has CHDbits ever banned English account / invite sellers?

no your pretty safe with the chinese trackers,theres some trackers that ban with ip,email change....as long as you don't change too much info on the accounts your safe....

don't try it only with whatcd, musicvid, hdbits i would say, the rest are very safe if you dont change email, so when buying buy invite or account with email, for musicvid and habits you would be 100% safe buying invite, for what'd don't buy from sellers because down the road they will catch you, CHDBits i have had 5 accounts at one time with same ip and nothing has happened, they don't care, and you would have to buy it with email anyways as you can't change email
