"Every single vote counts, we can't just sit on the sidelines"

Brandon Flowers has spoken and performed at a rally for a Democratic nominee in Las Vegas.

The Killers frontman joined comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel for the Saturday (November 3) event in support of Jacky Rosen.

Flowers performed Killers classic ‘Read My Mind’ and then moved onto ‘Home Means Nevada’, the official state song for Nevada.

The singer referred to Rosen as “someone who is defending Red Rock and Gold Butte against unprecedented attacks and trying to keep public lands where they belong — in public hands.”

Flowers isn’t the only American musician to get vocal about US politics of late.

Last month, Taylor Swift broke her political silence and urged voters to back the Democrats in the midterm elections.

Chance the Rapper, meanwhile, recently appeared in a new video to guide viewers about voting. In related news, Kanye West joined Chance last month to support the election of Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia. West has donated large sums of money to Enyia’s campaign.

Elsewhere, P Diddy celebrated his 49th birthday yesterday (November 4) with a skydive and also took the opportunity to tell fans in a video to go out and vote.
