6ix9ine appeared in court yesterday

Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s bodyguard was reportedly shot during the rapper’s post-sentencing dinner in New York last night (October 26).

6ix9ine appeared in court on Friday for violating the terms of a plea agreement related to a 2015 sex crime case involving a child. While he avoided prison time, he was given an extra four years of probation. He also won’t need to register as a sex offender.

After the hearing, the rapper headed to a dinner celebration. However, during the meal, his bodyguard – who was standing outside the restaurant – was reportedly shot four times.

According to TMZ, a retired police officer shot at the suspect. While the shooter got away, police believe that the retired cop did hit the suspect.

The bodyguard was quickly transported to hospital. He is now out of surgery and in stable condition.

Meanwhile, 6ix9ine’s new sentencing requires him to complete 1,000 hours of community service. He must also refrain from gang affiliation and the posting or reposting online sexually explicit or violent images of women or children.

The judge warned 6ix9ine to stay out of trouble — or else face the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence.

After arguments from the prosecution and the defence, 6ix9ine delivered a speech, noting his recent good behaviour. He spoke of providing meals to the homeless and visiting a young fan in hospital.“If I was such a bad person what in the world would a 6-year-old’s last wish be to see me?” he said, adding, “There’s people that deserve to be in jail, but Daniel Hernandez does not deserve that.”

In August, shots were reportedly fired at 6ix9ine’s video shoot with 50 Cent. Sources said at the time that they didn’t believe he or any other rapper on set were the targets.

Speaking in a statement at the time of the event, an NYPD representative said: “Upon arrival officers were advised that during the course of a music video was being filmed that several gunshots were heard outside in the immediate vicinity of the venue.”
