Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and the Weeknd lead the list of nominees for this year’s American Music Awards.

Swift, the reigning queen of the pop world, grabbed a total of six nominations, including a bid for artist of the year. Sheeran and Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd tied with five apiece. Both are also nommed for artist of the year.
Other contenders for artist of the year are Luke Bryan, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor. The field will be narrowed to five nominees based on fan voting tallied through Nov. 11.

Song of the year nominees are: Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth “See You Again,” Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars “Uptown Funk!,” Ed Sheeran “Thinking Out Loud,” Taylor Swift “Blank Space,” and The Weeknd “Can’t Feel My Face.”

Jennifer Lopez hosts this year’s ceremony, to air live Nov. 22 on ABC, originating from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
