Rick Ross appears to mock Tekashi 6ix9ine with homophobic slur
"Racketeering charges caught him on a tap"
Rick Ross has seemingly mocked Tekashi 6ix9ine by using a homophobic slur during a guest spot on Meek Mill’s new album ‘Championships’.
Joining Jay-Z and Mill on the track ‘What’s Free’, Ross uses inflammatory language while simultaneously mocking 6ix9ine, who is currently incarcerated while awaiting trial for federal racketeering and firearms charges.
Ross raps in the song’s verse: “Screaming gang gang now you wanna rap, racketeering charges caught him on a tap / Looking for a bond lawyers wanna tax, purple hair got them f****ts on your back.” Listen to the track below.
On ‘What’s Free’, Jay-Z references Kanye West and Donald Trump with a line about the US president’s MAGA hat merchandise. “No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA / I ain’t one of these house ni**as you bought”, he raps.
The legendary rapper was forced to clarify the lyric on Twitter today (November 30) after it was misinterpreted as a criticism.
Elsewhere, it appears that Jay-Z criticises Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian on the song by comparing her to his own, Beyoncé. “My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours / My spo—c’mon, man—my route better of course.”
In NME’s four star review of Mill’s new album, Dhruva Balram writes: “‘Championships’ showcases Meek’s obsession to do Philadelphia, his fans, his listeners, his family, his friends and his cohorts in the rap game right. The result is an album that dovetails beautifully from party anthems to vulnerable confessionals.”
