Queens Of The Stone Age’s ‘Ellen’ performance cancelled after Josh Homme’s photographer incident

Homme recently said he had "to figure some stuff out"

Queens Of The Stone Age were a no-show for their Ellen performance today (December 14) just days after an incident that saw frontman Josh Homme kick a female photographer.

Homme made headlines last weekend when he kicked photographer Chelsea Lauren at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show in Inglewood, California. On Saturday (December 9), the frontman kicked a camera from the photographer’s hands, which then hit her in the face. Lauren later needed care in hospital.

Following the controversy, Homme released an apology video, admitting that he had been a “total dick” and saying that he had “to figure some stuff out”.

Homme’s band had been scheduled to play Ellen DeGeneres’ US daytime talk show today but failed to appear. It is not known whether the appearance was cancelled by the network or whether Queens pulled out of the gig.

NME has approached the band’s press representative for clarification.

Meanwhile, the BBC has announced that it is suspending broadcasts of Homme’s Bedtime Stories episodes on CBeebies following the incident.
