A new special is out now, gathering together the 100 Greatest NME Covers from throughout the magazine’s time in print.

Created by the makers of Uncut, the new issue is in newsagents now and available to buy online here – bringing together iconic covers of David Bowie, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Jarvis Cocker, The Stone Roses, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead, The Slits, Prince, Joy Division, Sex Pistols, Siouxsie & The Banshees, John Peel, Lush and many more.

As well as classic archive shots, the issue also contains the exclusive stories behind the images from the likes of Kevin Cummins, Pennie Smith, Nick Logan, Neil Spencer, Chalkie Davies, Anton Corbijn, Paul Weller, Viv Albertine, Steve Sutherland, Krissi Murison, Conor McNicholas and a many more who were there as history was being made.

The synopsis reads: “Bowie’s Back!
