A photo of the pair was shown during a feature highlighting viewers' birthdays and anniversaries

A segment on a local news broadcast aired a photo of actor Mickey Rourke and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose, wrongly identifying them as a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The photo of the pair, which was taken at a recent boxing match, was shown during a feature highlighting viewers’ birthdays and anniversaries.

Rourke and Rose were identified as “Max and Geraldine Bailey” in the clip, which went viral after one Twitter user captured the moment and shared it on the platform. You can watch footage of the segment below.

Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses have been teasing a new record in recent months. At a concert in Hawaii earlier this month (December 8), Rose reportedly told the crowd: “We can’t do what’s next until we finish this, right? Now that all that’s done, we can get on with things.”

In a new radio interview, guitarist Richard Fortus confirmed the band had plans to get back in the studio. “We are going to try to do another record and get it out soon,” he said. “I think it will happen faster than you think.”

He added: “It could definitely happen… there might be stuff started.”

In September, guitarist Slash said the band were working on a new album and said Rose had “a ton” of songs ready. The group’s last album, ‘Chinese Democracy’, was released in 2008 – 15 years after their previous effort, ‘The Spaghetti Incident? ’

Guns N’ Roses were forced to abandon a show in Dubai last month (November 25) after their frontman was “severely ill” due to a stomach upset. They managed to perform 17 songs in two hours before Rose had to leave the stage for good.
