Listen to Radiohead's Unreleased James Bond Theme 'Spectre'

'Tis the season for surprise releases.

Music fans went to sleep last night with a new LCD Soundsystem song, and woke up today (Dec. 25) with a stocking stuffer from Radiohead.

Originally recorded as a theme song for the latest James Bond installment Spectre, Thom Yorke writes that the song "became something of [their] own which [they] love very much," although it wasn't used in the end.

Sweeping and orchestral, "Spectre" bears some resemblance to "Harry Patch (In Memory Of)" -- a 2009 release that honored the last surviving soldier known to have fought in the trenches during World War I. Take a listen (and download for free) below:

Although I'd never consider Radiohead for a James Bond theme, I enjoyed it
