The boyband reunite with the DJ and producer after he remixed their track 'Mic Drop'

BTS have released their first full song in English in the form of their new collaboration with Steve Aoki, ‘Waste It On Me’.

The DJ and producer previously worked with the Korean boyband when he remixed their track ‘Mic Drop’ earlier this year. The remix featured on the band’s latest album, ‘Love Yourself: Answer‘, while the video has over 365 million views on YouTube.

In a statement, Aoki said: “I’m so psyched to share this collaboration with one of the most exciting and inspiring group of guys I’ve met in the past few years.”

BTS added: “We’re happy for this meaningful and heartfelt collaboration. The song is just so amazing, we really enjoyed working on it. It’s our first song that is entirely in English. It was refreshing and fun to record the song. We hope this would be a good present for our fans.” Listen to the track above.

The song will feature on Aoki’s new album, ‘Neon Future III’, which is due for release on November 9. The tracklist for the record is as follows:

Yesterday (October 24), Aoki revealed he had joined forces with the group again on Twitter, writing: “surpriseeee we’re back! got a new collab w/ my brothers @BTS_twt coming at u tomorrow!! who wants to hear it now?? Tweet #WasteItOnMe to unlock a preview!”

The song will mark BTS’ first new music since the release of ‘Love Yourself: Answer’. However, on Monday (October 23), one of the group’s rappers, RM, released a new “playlist” titled ‘mono.’ The seven-track record featured collaborations with London synth-pop duo HONNE, as well as JW of Korean indie band Nell, and K-Pop singer eAeon.

BTS were named one of TIME magazine’s Next Generation Leaders earlier this month and graced the cover of an edition of the publication. In a video, RM called it “an honour to be called an ambassador for Korean K-Pop.”

The band made their UK debut on October 9 and 10, with two sold-out shows at London’s The O2. The gigs followed a history-making show at New York’s Citi Field, where the group became the first Korean musicians to perform in a US stadium.

Next month (November 15), the boyband will be the subject of a new cinematic release. Their documentary series Burn The Stage, which followed them on their 2017 Wings tour, will be re-released as a movie, featuring new footage.
