Kenny Chesney may not be touring this summer, choosing to press "pause" on his annual stadium treks while he finishes up his new album, The Big Revival, but that hasn't stopped him from scheduling one special show. On August 16th, the "American Kids" singer will head south from Nashville to the Gulf Shores for a free performance on the Florida-Alabama border.

Dubbed the Flora-Bama-Jama, the concert will be a more stripped-down affair, Chesney said in a statement. "Obviously, this isn't going to be one of those huge shows we do, but it's gonna be a long day, a whole lotta music and even more fun."

Naturally for the tropically-minded Chesney, the performance will take place on the beach, just steps away from the Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar, near Perdido Key, Florida. Fans can register for a limited number of wristbands to attend at Chesney's website and also receive more information here.

Chesney, who taped a short clip promoting the Flora-Bama-Jama, will release The Big Revival, his first album since last year's Life on a Rock, on September 23rd.
