Chris Brown and Gunna’s “Heat” rises to the top of the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart as it jumps 4-1 on the list dated Nov. 23. The pair climb to the summit with a 17% boost in plays in the week ending Nov. 17, according to Nielsen Music, enough to snag the week’s Greatest Gainer honor.
As “Heat” ascends, Brown earns his 11th No. 1 on the chart, and second this year. He previously reigned in 2019 with “No Guidance,” featuring Drake, which logged four non-consecutive weeks in charge. The R&B superstar first topped Rhythmic Songs with his breakthrough single, “Run It,” which clocked seven weeks at No. 1 in 2005.

Gunna, meanwhile, scores his first Rhythmic Songs leader among four chart entries. His prior best was a No. 4 peak in February for “Drip Too Hard,” a collaboration with Lil Baby from the album of the same name.
Beyond its Rhythmic Songs coronation, “Heat” gains on other radio rankings. The track holds at No. 3 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, though it picks up a 2% boost to 22.9 million in format audience in the week ending Nov. 17, and steps 27-22 on the all-genre Radio Songs, with a 7% lift to 36.3 million in audience.
“Heat” features on Brown’s latest studio album, Indigo, released in June. The set debuted at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and has yet to fall below the top 10 in 20 weeks on the ranking.
