    I was in the pub earlier and saw one of these, it would be nice to hear one! Probably a bit too vintage..

    I work selling headphones which is a world of audio on its own; full size is less practical and costs 10x more so I go for the headphones. There are some very nice models from the 70s and 80s, like the old 600 ohm AKG K240 versions, and Sennheiser's HD414 which isn't all that great today but was groundbreaking at the time, in 1969. I have a HD540 though - probably late 80s and still going for over £100 on eBay because they are that good.

    I'd like an AKG K340 next, these are from the late 80s and have some odd electrostat-dynamic transducer, but I've heard that the magnets in some of them might be on the way out by now.
