Does anyone know when windows 9 will out.

Microsoft communications chief Frank Shaw said Microsoft wasn't ready to talk about how often Windows might come out when we spoke to him in January, but he agreed "you have certainly seen across a variety of our products a cadence that looks like that; Windows Phone is a good for example of that, our services are a good example of that".

We don't know if Windows 9 will be available as an upgrade from Windows 7 that you can buy as a standalone product or if you'll have to have Windows 8 to get the upgrade. But it may not be with us for a while yet - Windows business chief Tami Reller has talked about "multiple selling seasons" for Windows 8, meaning that we'll likely have several versions of it.

hmm so you might not be able to update from windows 7? Thats messed up!!! I totally agree with the common theory that you should skip every other windows OS. Its been great for me so far lol.

I haven't even installed Windows 8.The only thing that's usefull about Win 8 is that you can fix your Windows 7 install with it.Mine displayed some sort of 0xwhatever error and wouldn't start, so i inserted the win 8 dvd and the diagnose worked ok, after restart i was able to boot it up.

hmm strange. personally i think windows 8 looks like something i do not want. looks like my damn xbox and that setup is crap. i hear you can tweak 8 to be like 7 or xp tho but to be honest i love 7. no reason to do the 8 thing i see. for me.

I dunno about Windows 9, I think there is a better chance of seeing Windows 8.2 well before any possible dates of Windows 9. Either way, it better have a start menu lol.
