    Seagate vs Western vs Lacie

Looking at some info on the 2 hardrives.
I have heard WD is way better then Seagate. Just wondering if the pennies saved on a Seagate is a reliable choice? Or is it better to save to get a WD?

What this Topic is all about
1.Say why you chose the vote for that hardrive (stats, specs, durability and such)
    2. State the "Other" Device
    3. Experiences with the hard drives.
    4. How long it lasted (they lasted) and what the end/termination result was.

**Also has anyone used a Lacie yet?
I chose WD because I have not tried any others yet and so far I have a WD that has lasted several years including large formats and a few solid floor drops.

For Seagate I am currently viewing and contemplating a purchase on
"Seagate STEB8000100 Expansion 8TB Desktop External Hard Drive USB 3.0"
    and a hd 100$ cheaper
    WD 3TB Elements 3TB Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBU6Y0030BBK-WESN

**I heard smaller drives 3tb and such last longer, any truth to that?

Had Seagate, died. Now I have WD, no problems.

My Seagate one was small few TB, WD is big one, 8 TB.

Any experience with larger hard rives, I am not sure what companies offer bigger or if I should just stick with my multi 3tb WD drives. Cannot afford to loose the infos just hate having so many drives. But if that means safety and stability I'm for that

have only tried a 2 tb sized seagate drive and it seemd to crash like 5-6-7 times in a very short while while while i were using it.
now i just want to get rid of it becasue its still functioning but ppl are offering me pocket changes for the drive!!

I have a 2TB Seagate HDD and a 4TB WD HDD. But I would go with Seagate, since it's a lot more cheaper ($40 cheaper in where I live.) I had it for 15 months now, and it's doing well.
