When it comes to setting up Kodi and Media center on a PC. I have been looking at how exactly what type of setup I want for television. Mythtv is an option that I have read about so you dont have to pay for a subscription for DVR or for tv guides. What Tv-tuner card would you recommend for a PC? I would like to cut cable costs so that I can get free over the air satellite, as well as free over the air TV from an HD antenna. I am acquiring equipment to do just that. I have seen products like Amazon recast, HDhomerun, and more. While I do like these products I am more interested in one time purchases without paying monthly fees. I don't want to pay for a subscription to get my TV guide. I have an antenna to hang up that I purchased as well as a satellite that I got that id like to install as well. So a tuner card that can run both would be preferred. You can use an app to aim the satellite to get free over the air stations just like you can the antenna. Any suggestions that people have like what TV tuner card I should get so that I can use both of these pieces of equipment at the same time? Also does anyone know a better setup for over the air channels better then Mythtv?
