Microsoft Edge is taking shape quite nicely, and the latest Windows 10 Redstone build brings a welcome change to users who don’t want to switch to a third-party browser.

Starting with build 14295, Windows 10 Redstone displays toast notifications when a download is completed, as well as notifications in the Action Center. This feature certainly comes in handy to those who download files on a regular basis and want to keep track of all items, but keep in mind that this feature is only available in the latest preview build, so only insiders can test it for the moment.
Build 14295 was released on Friday, and just as Winbeta notes, it comes with small refinements here and there despite the fact that it’s mostly all about fixing bugs and improving the performance of the operating system. This build is only offered to the fast ring, and depending on the received feedback, it could be released to the slow ring too.
Windows 10 Redstone is projected to debut in the summer with more improvements to Edge, including support for extensions, which are also available for insiders in preview builds. Some features, however, might not make the cut and be removed before the public rollout, but for the moment, it’s very clear that work on Edge advances very well.
