Dell has caught our eye on more than one occasion when shopping for the best gaming laptop on a budget, and its G3/G5 models are typically solid options for the money. As it were, you can head over to Walmart and grab a G3 gaming laptop with a Core i7-8750H processor and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti for $699.99 today.

It also has 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and 16GB of Optane memory to boost storage performance, since this setup is leaning on mechanical storage instead of an outright solid state drive.

Earlier this week, we pointed out an Asus Vivobook K570ZD with a Ryzen 5 2500U and GTX 1050 (non-TI) on sale for $599. That's still available.

Compared to that, Dell's G3 is $100 more, which gets you a beefier CPU (6-core/12-thread) and GPU (Ti variant), and more storage, albeit it's an HDD. Both are good options on a budget.

Yet another option is a Dell G5 setup with Core i7-8750H processor, 8GB of RAM, GTX 1050 Ti GPU, and 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, on sale for $749 at Walmart (save $350). You won't get very far with 128GB as the primary storage, but at least it still packs a 1TB HDD.
