I went to FTS to get the IRC for you and the same thing has happened to me. Cant get in and wiped my email from database. Done the same to my brother as well.
Hopefully it is a problem at their end, and all will be restored. Let me know if you find out. I will appreciate it.

    FTS IRC Information.
    1) IRCKey (Implemented, but it isn't being used.)

To get onto the FTS IRC Channel, you must be a member of FTS. The use of an IRCKey prevents unauthorized access to the channel by users who are not members.

The IRCKey is located on your profile. Goto the edit profile page (click "edit" which is beside your username). Scroll down, and you well is the IRCKey textbox. Enter anything you like, it would be much safer if it was something other than your current passwords, and that it is not easily guessable. Once you typed a desired IRCKey, go ahead and save your profile. Thats the site side of the IRCKey done.

    2) FTS IRC Information

Server: irc.freethescene.net (Running SSL on port 6666 non-SSL port 6667)
Main Channel: #FTS (Must have a registered nick to enter.)

    3) Getting into #FTS

To register your nick, type this command in your IRC client, replacing everything in "< >" with your information.

    /msg nickserv register <pass> <email>

    eg.

    /msg nickerv register 123lol 123@lol.com

Make sure the email you use is real. You are not forced to use your site password. Use anything you feel like using.

You will get a confirmation message stating that you have registered with the nickserv. One that is similar to:

-NickServ- Your password is 123lol - remember this for later use.

    Please note down the password.

Every time you login to #FTS IRS, you must use the following command to identify yourself, with the nickserv and the site bot.

    /msg nickserv identify <pass>

Replace <pass> with the password that you used during nickserv registration.

    eg.

    /msg nickserv identify 123lol

You will the receive a message stating that your are identified. One that is similar to:

-NickServ- Password accepted - you are now recognized.

DOES NOT APPLY AS OF YET
Then, you must use the following command, which is used to verify that you are a site member.

    /msg fts-enforcer invite <nick> <irckey>

    <nick> being your site nick.
<irckey> being the key that you previously set on your profile.

You will then receive another message similar to:

    * FTS-Enforcer ... invites you to join #FTS

Once you have receive this message, you will be able to join the #FTS channel (/join #FTS).

Some users may find it annoying to use the identify command each time they login. There are clients that will do the following command automatically. (eg. mIRC, XChat...) If you have trouble configuring clients to auto identify, join the #fts-support channel and request help.

To configure mIRC/XChat check out the tutorial at:
AutoJoin #FTS on mIRC | mIRC Basics
How to connect to IRC on XChat (Linux)

You will receive 4 MB per hour for idling on #FTS.

    Thank you,
    FTS Staff.

    i hope that helps
