Receiving global alerts on your desktop

First of all, you need to go download and install Earth Alerts. Then run it to configure what and how to receive alerts.

Note: The interface is a bit tricky and you might find it difficult to use at first. Note that configuration and navigation buttons are in the form of Blue Text, just like URL links.

Locations give you the possibility to track multiple zones around the globe. Choosing to add a New Location lets you search by several different criteria, like name, time zone, or coordinates.

In the Settings panel, you can switch to Visual, Sound, Email, and Mobile Device Notifications to add credentials and other ways of receiving global alerts. This is useful to have when on the move.

Global Overview provides updates for every event going on around the world. Multiple types of data can be accessed, such as Location Map, Report, and related News on the web.

The System Tray Icon gives you instant feedback simply by hovering the mouse cursor over it. In addition, significant events and alerts trigger a small popup window with general details.
