    is there any users here who used both plex and emby?

    For Plex there is a Synology NAS App, I couldn't find any from Emby. Thats why I only use Plex.

    Synology! They are more expensive but they have an "open" linux system running. You can install everythin you want like on a normal linux server. They also have a very nice frontend and many apps (SPKs).

    WD is cheaper but you don't have this freedom.

    I had a DS213j first and now I'm running a DS214play with Dual Core and 1GB RAM and 2x3TB Space.

    right now i have dell small form factor desktop i5, 4gb ram, 2th hd just for plex.
    now im looking for NAS. ii was seaching online and i came accross FreeNAS. how u used it? but motherboard i have in dell desktop doesnot support Freenas.

    Sorry, I don't have any experience with Freenas. Only used Synology NAS systems.
