Xbox One Exclusive Scalebound “Looks Great;” Microsoft Studios Head Visits Platinum Games To Play it

After the surprise unveiling at E3, Microsoft and Platinum Games have gone dark on the upcoming Xbox Exclusive Scalebound. So dark that Hideki Kamiya himself said that he can’t say more or Microsoft will throw him off the Space Needle.

Yet we learn that Microsoft Partner Studios Head Mike Ybarra just walked the halls ao Platinum Games to play the game.

Headed to Platinum Games in Osaka to talk Scalebound design. And play it together of course.

Just played Scalebound with @PG_kamiya, @PG_jp and @PG_inaba. #Scalebound @platinumgames
When asked by a fan whether the game was already in a playable state, he clarified that just part of it is:

All games have parts playable very early. Doesn’t mean the full game is playable, etc.
As for what he thought of it, the response was brief, but quite promising:
Looked great.
While parts of the game are already playable, we don’t know if they’re polished enough for a demo. It’ll be interesting to see if Microsoft will feel confident enough to show it at Gamescom or we’ll have to wait until Tokyo Game Show.

In the meanwhile, have a picture of lovely Kyoto, shared by Ybarra himself as he went out with the developers for the inevitable work dinner.
