Tom Clancy’s The Division just got a new trailer showcasing the integration of NVIDIA GameWorks, and of the HBAO+ and PCSS options.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is now really close to its release date, which is set for March 8, just a few days away. A new trailer has been made available showcasing the integration of NVIDIA GameWorks in the game. The developers only focused on a couple of features, which is interesting since studios usually tend to get more out of the Nvidia tools.
One of the features is called HBAO+, and it's an improvement over the existing Ambient Occlusion. It allows the engine to render more detailed and more realistic shadows in areas where rays of light are occluded.
The second feature is named PCSS (NVIDIA Percentage-Closer Soft Shadows (PCSS), which is also an advanced technique for soft shadows. From the looks of it, the developers are only taking these two solutions from Nvidia GameWorks, but it's already more than many users would like.
Many gamers fear that they are going to miss out on some feature if they don't have the proper hardware, or that the integration of Nvidia GameWorks will adversely affect the framerate. In any case, the response from the community hasn't been great.
It's already known that Tom Clancy’s The Division is also bundled with new Nvidia graphics cards, so today's trailer shouldn't come as a surprise.
