Star Wars Battlefront: No in-game voice chat on PC, PS4/XBO use built-in party system

Star Wars Battlefront will not have any in-game means for voice chat on PC. This revelation came via the game’s official twitter account in response to a query. Instead of supporting in-game voice chat, EA has suggested that PC gamers should instead look towards other avenues in order to communicate with friends on PC.

Of course, this begs the question of whether or not you’ll be playing with friends in the first place. It isn’t unusual to be playing a multiplayer focused game with a series of random players. Getting to coordinate with other players in a 40 player competitive shooter will undoubtedly be a puzzling experience as a result.

However, if you’re used to playing multiplayer games with a regular gathering of friends, this shouldn’t be an issue and you should be good to go with a third-party app, such as Mumble.
