Hello gamers. I have been trying to start playing GTA IV again, so I used STEAM to install it.
It installed the Rockstar or ...maybe it's the GTA IV social lounge, so I thought I was ready to go, but it gave me errors. So I started using the only tool that matters, Google. And I found out I needed to install the Games for Windows Live software, so I got it, and signed in. But... still I am unable to launch the game. The Social Club won't even allow me to sign in, there is no option to sign up. Here's a screenshot

I am tired of reading the Steam forums, even though many people have this issue, I wasn't able to find a fix.

I am using Windows 7.

@BigDoofus - I am sorry, but i can't help you with your problem - but if you can't login and need various added software that isn't working as you want it -
try to find the game on the "bay".
You don't have such problems with the versions there - i online use steam and nothing else - well i had an windows live account for dark souls but DS is now steam only.

I am not sure if GTA IV has only options you might want to use, but for just playing the "story" you could even try to find a crack if you have the game already installed, if there is a crack only upload.

sorry that i can't really help you - i use cracked editions as they will never have such problems. I buy games only for consoles as retail editions, these don't have such problems too :-)

hey, no problem - all i said was that you don't really need a legal copy of the game to play it.
but just in case you only want to play the singleplayer storyline - for any online features you would need a legal copy.

That was just to give you an alternative option to find a a away playing the game.

Ohhh I see. Well darn it, I thought I bought it on steam for a reason, but steam customer support is pure shit. So I guess I'll play a pirated version.

**Update** well...that won't work either, none of the trackers I'm registered with have GTA IV with seeders, it shows seeders, but the speeds I'm getting are 5-10kb/s

maybe there is a reseed request button - also thepiratebay offers a lot.
