Last night I happened upon this fantastic short about one gamers ability to deal with loss. After losing his father, one commenter told a story about how that impacted him and left a comment about his experience. It was a story about how gaming brought his father back into his life in a unique way. The original comment that inspired the piece seen below was made by user 00WARTHERAPY00 when responding to a post asking if gaming could ever be a spiritual experience. Filmmaker John Wikstrom saw this and wanted to give his impactful and emotional response some special treatment. Below you can see the results of said piece which John was nice enough to let us share on IGN.

It's always great to see content like this come about. It does an excellent job of showing just how this medium we all love can be powerful in unexpected ways. You can see more of John's work on his Vimeo. The video's full credits include the team below. Thank you for letting us share John!
