Video game developer EA Sports is announcing that it is introducing a new set of features for NBA Live 16 with the new Live Pro-Am experience, which is designed to offer more options for those who are interested in online competitions for the basketball sim.

Live Run is the first of the two modes to be introduced, allowing gamers to join online pick-up games for up to ten players that will take place on courts including Rucker Park, Venice Beach, Jordan Terminal 23 and more.

The second experience is called Summer Circuit, and it will offer a cooperative experience that will allow gamers to move across North America as they try to find ways to defeat some of the most well-known NBA players.

The good news about Pro-Am for NBA Live 16 is that EA Sports will offer it for free on both the Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on September 15.

The developers state, "Use your created player across LIVE Run, Summer Circuit and the Rising Star career mode. Playing games in any of these modes will earn you SP (Skill Points) to upgrade your skills using our new progression system and RP (Reward Points) to purchase authentic gear in the LIVE Spot store."

Gamers can customize their characters with real-world gear and sneakers, and there are also options to add tattoos.

Gamers can get their faces into NBA Live 16 Pro-Am

EA Sports is also delivering a new companion mobile app called GameFaceHD, which gamers can use to add their own likeness for the characters they use in the game.

All the progression and the rewards that gamers will get in Pro-Am can then be transferred to the full version of NBA Live 16, which arrives on September 29.

EA Sports is also offering a set of Learn Live tutorials, which can be used by gamers to become more familiar with the actual concepts behind basketball and the way they are translated in the simulation.

A Tip Off mode with six teams from the NBA is also offered for free on September 15.

The full simulation is designed to introduce more realistic mechanics, with a focus on making all aspects of the game more engaging, and there are also more improvements linked to graphics and presentation.
