    Microsoft sold 3 million Xbox One units in 2013

    Microsoft has announced that it has sold over 3 million units in 13 countries where it was launched by the end of 2013.

    Microsoft took two and a half weeks to reach the two million units sold mark, while it took the company 40 days to reach the 3 million mark. “Over 3 million Xbox One consoles were sold to consumers in 13 countries before the end of 2013”, Microsoft announced on Xbox Wire.

    “It’s been incredible to see Xbox One selling at a record-setting pace for Xbox, and we were honored to see Xbox One become the fastest-selling console in the U.S. during our launch month in November.”

    Redmond revealed that Xbox One owners watched millions of hours of live TV and app entertainment on the console. The company also revealed some of the titles that will launch in 2014 including Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and The Elder Scrolls Online among others.

    Microsoft reveald that the Xbox One was sold out multiple times at retailers and it is working closely with its supply chain to deliver additional consoles to its retailers as fast as possible.

    I personally have little time for console gaming. Im a PC gamer, and probably always will be. Consoles cost too much, are too restrictive and generally a giant cash cow for their respective companies, as demonstrated here.
