Mass Effect Andromeda director Chris Wynn has announced he's parting ways with BioWare.

Wynn, who served as the senior development director on BioWare's highly anticipated role-playing game, confirmed his departure in a post on Twitter:

Following Wynn's announcement, BioWare released a statement to Game Informer regarding his departure, thanking him for his work and wishing him well. The studio also assured fans that "development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin."

In addition to his work on Mass Effect, Wynn had a hand in the Gears of War franchise, having previously worked as a producer at both Microsoft and Epic Games.

Mass Effect Andromeda is slated for a holiday 2016 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
