The new Lara Croft isometric shooter, Lara Craft and the Temple of Osiris, finally gets a release date of December 9th, 2014. Eurogamer got the scoop from publisher Square Enix about the December download release for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the sequel to the sleeper hit, Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light. Noticing a pattern here? Like the last iteration of the shoot everything that moves Lara Croft adventure, TOS can be played completely in single player but supports a robust cooperative campaign with up to four players.

A new adventure for Ms. Croft, TOS will also feature Lara’s archaeological rival, Carter Bell. Croft and Bell will come into contact with ancient Egyptian deities, some good and some not so good. According to the Lara Croft website

“Upon entering the tomb, Carter removes the mythical Staff from its resting place and inadvertently triggers a trap cursing them both and unleashing the evil god Set. But the staff also awakens the gods Horus and Isis, the son and wife of Osiris.”
The pedigree behind Lara Croft's new adventure is accomplished to say the least. Crystal Dynamics, the team behind the highly successful Tomb Raider reboot, will be leading the helm with development for the new Croft title.

Aside from a completely new Tomb Raider experience, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will offer gamers a chance to explore new tombs and raid what will likely be spooky, derelict temples.
