The development team at IO Interactive still has to launch a lot of content associated with the first season of the newly episodic Hitman franchise, but it seems that the studio is already exploring ideas for the second season, including where they want to push the story centered around Agent 47.

Christian Elverdam, a developer, is quoted by GamingBolt as saying that the plans for the content that will arrive this year are finalized, and the focus is on the future and the elements of the overreaching story that will be introduced in future installments.
He adds, "there will be more seasons, and I think that’s the future- this universe we’ve created, with this version of 47… “We actually have quite a few ideas for where we want to take the story. And I think it will be quite exciting for people to see that whole universe of the game. So yeah, the future holds many seasons of Hitman!"
The first episode of the first season of Hitman will be launched on Friday, March 11, on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
Gamers will be able to experience the prologue and an extensive set of missions that take place in a location in Paris, during a fashion show, which will showcase the core elements of the title.
Agent 47 will travel to many other locations this year Two new cities will become accessible in April and in May, with the protagonist able to explore new goals in Sapienza, Italy, and Marrakech, Morocco, as he seeks to pull off more perfect assassinations.
The United States, Japan, and Thailand will be the three final episodes of the Hitman reboot that will be offered in late 2016, and those who bought the full first season will get access to them for free although separate payments are needed from those who only get the Intro pack.
The fan community will also get access to updates that improve balance and to regular community events designed to keep them engaged with the title.
IO Interactive says that the new Hitman aims to be as open as possible, giving players a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing how they want to approach each target and the level of violence that they want to use to take it out.
The level structure is similar to that of Blood Money, and the Contracts mode will be used to give more ways for the community to tackle each mission.
