The team at Rockstar, publisher Take Two and partner Mass Appeal announce that they are planning to launch a new and exclusive 59 song box set which features original songs from Grand Theft Auto V on December 9, called the Music of GTA V.

Original tracks from artists like A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, Twin Shadow, Wavves, Flying Lotus, and Yeasayer are part of the package and gamers can also listen to the original soundtrack, which is created by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, the Alchemist, and Oh No, according to Pitchfork.

The Music of GTA V package can be bought on vinyl and on CD, with the first version offering access to a color booklet accompanied by a lithograph poster while the second introduces a USB drive which is shaped like a gold brick.

The soundtrack release looks pretty nice and it will probably appeal to true fans of the franchise but it's unclear whether it will manage to generate solid sales if it is not bundled with the actual game at some point in the future.

GTA V moves to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4

Grand Theft Auto V is set to be launched on November 18 of this year on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft and there are also plans to deliver it on the PC on January 27 of next year.

The new versions of the open world experience from Rockstar will include a number of updates, including more foliage, more details for traffic, improved damage models for all characters and other tweaks to gameplay.

When it comes to the sound design the developers have worked with artists to expand all the included radio stations and there's more commentary to fill the gaps between tracks.

Rockstar says that this is the definitive edition of GTA V and that all those who have already played it will discover a much better game.

At the same time as it is working on the title the studio is continuing to expand the Online mode, which has already become a very important revenue stream for Take Two.

Fans are eagerly awaiting to hear more details about the Heists update, which is set to introduce complex cooperative missions with some interesting rewards.

The community will also get more tools that it can use to create its own missions, which can then be shared, with some of them getting extra polish from Rockstar.
