Rockstar Games has clarified doubts surrounding the GTA Online money hack issues. This comes after users expressed concern about potentially getting banned for spending hacked cash gifts as well as receiving bounties containing the illicit cash from hackers.

Following the recent release of the 1.08 patch for GTA 5, the company’s support team clarified through a tweet that players need not worry about anything if they were not directly involved in receiving hacked money or bounties by cheating. This comes after the developers team having already confirmed earlier this week that it won’t ban those who had received an infinite sum of hacked money as in-game currency from hackers.

According to another post on December 31 on the Rockstar Games Support Twitter Page, a fan asked if users would get banned if they spent the gifted-hacked money on purchasing properties and other products. Another fan had asked if receiving bounties that contained the illegal money also resulted in a ban. The support team has clearly mentioned that players won’t be punished or banned for aforementioned cases. This latest clarification has now given a green signal to players that they can spend the money without being punished.

In a separate support article, a GTA Online developer also urged those who aren’t involved in wilful hacking or cheating not to get caught up in the company’s work to separate out hackers from rest of the gamers’ population. Overall it seems that expending and receiving bounties containing the illicit in-game currency won’t be classified as modding and cheating either.

Rockstar Games had recently launched a hot fix that restrained hackers from creating custom lobbies and fixed the issues of duplication of vehicles in the multiplayer online mode of the game. A new GTA 5 patch is set to be released soon in addition to several new DLC cash card packs that would fix all the money hack issues and the remaining exploits in GTA Online.
