Nexon America has announced Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: First Assault early access will begin December 14.

The new free-to-play multiplayer shooter, announced back in September, based on the iconic anime will be available through Steam or the Nexon Launcher application.

PC users interested in participating in the early access program or future beta tests can sign up at the game’s official website or get immediate access to early access on December 14 by purchasing packs that include exclusive in-game content.

Early Access Packs are priced at different tiers, ranging from the $5 USD Recruit Pack up to $30 for the Elite Pack. The Recruit Pack contains beta access and a rare weapon skin, while the Elite Early Access Pack contains all of the content from the lower tiers, as well as the Motoko character skin and in-game currency.

In Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: First Assault, players take on the roles of elite Section 9 operatives, with various cybernetic skills such as therm-optic camouflage or infra-red vision. The series’ characters Major Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, and Togusa will be included as playable characters.

First Assault is expected to be released on PC in early 2016.
