The Coalition might be the main studio in charge of bringing the Gears of War franchise to the Xbox One, but the company says that when it comes to plenty of the multiplayer content for the third-person shooter, it is working closely with Splash Damage, which has recently worked on its own Brink and Dirty Bomb and is best known for the Enemy Territory spin-offs.

The information comes from Rod Fergusson, the leader of the team creating the new title, who says that the partnership is a good way to use the experience that was accumulated during the creation of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
He tells Game Informer that, "When you get a strategic partner like Splash Damage, we talk about training up our own team on Gears, but when you have another team that's trained up on Gears, we definitely want to work with them."
The partnership between The Coalition and Splash Damage might also be a result of the fact that Gears of War 4 is supposed to launch before the end of the year, and the resources of both studios are needed to make sure that it is done in time.
The beta stage of the game will be launched on April 18, for those gamers who have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and will last until May 1, with fans able to get a look at the multiplayer side of the title, although no info has been offered on the maps and modes that will be featured.
Gears of War 4's single player will focus on JD Fenix The Coalition is solely responsible for the narrative and the campaign of the coming video game, which will be centered on the son of Marcus Fenix and on a changed Sera that features both some fearsome enemies and some weird weather.
All the action takes place in 24 hours, and the studio claims that it wants to recapture some of the terror and adrenaline filled combat that defined the first installment in the series.
The wind will play a major role in combat, with high force storms able to influence the path of bullets and the tactical choices that players make, and according to The Coalition, the plan is to add some more excitement to the cover-based shooter.
Gears of War 4 will be offered only on the Xbox One and does not yet have an official launch window.
