The quality has improved and the graphics better reflect the tactics that were assigned to each player

The development team at Sports Interactive is very proud of the move to 3D for its match engine and is eager to get as much of the community as possible to use it, despite the fact that most hardcore fans are at the moment sticking with the classic top-down look with added commentary.

A new video associated with the title shows off the new match engine in its pre-beta form, allowing potential buyers to see how the players are moving and how the improved graphics will allow them to better evaluate how their tactics and instructions are working.

The quality is better than in Football Manager 2014, but the big problem for the series is that most football fans who also play video games will instantly compare what they see with FIFA 15, and the differences are just too great to be ignored.

The title from Sports Interactive has a ton of features that EA Sports is not aiming to replicate and manages to offer a much more complex take on football, and focusing on its graphics does not help generate buzz.

Football Manager 2015 is moving more towards the role-playing space

Football Manager 2015 focuses on the way players can take over their favorite club and then use everything from finances to transfers and tactical shakeups to guide it towards glory.

The new installment in the very long-running series is designed to introduce a range of new ways for managers to talk to their players, the club executives and the press, with their choices affecting the long-term development of all those around them.

The development team at Sports Interactive is also introducing new tactical options, including more roles for players and new ways to evaluate how well they are performing.

The scouting side of the title is also improved and is closer to the real world and the company claims that its database has also been updated in order to reflect the capabilities of real world players, with many actual clubs using it for their own scouts to gain initial info on their targets.

Football Manager 2015 will be launched on the PC on November 7 of this year and all those who pre-order it will be able to play a nearly-finished version two weeks early, with all their progress set to be moved to the full version of the experience once it is out.

A PlayStation Vita version of the game was also launched during the past few years, but it is unclear if Sony and Sports Interactive are aiming to deliver one in 2014.
