Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal game seems to be a little too similar with Far Cry 4, the FPS launched by the same studio back in 2014.

It’s no secret that Far Cry Primal is using the engine and much of the assets from Far Cry 4, and this is nothing new. The studio had a similar endeavor named Far Cry Blood Dragon, which was very well received and was using the engine from Far Cry 3.
The similarities between the two games, Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 4, seem to extend past the engine and some assets. The guys from Gamepressure noticed that the maps appear to be a little too similar and they just might be right about this.
If you take a closer look at the two maps, you will notice that the features follow the same lines, and much of the geography coincides. Sure, at ground level things are very different, but if you take into account the identical textures, many of the same animations, the similar map, you’re left with different sounds and story. And the story is not going to win any awards.
People not happy about the price point Sharing assets from one game to another has been done before with Blood Dragon, but that was a really original game, with an interesting and over-the-top story, and only cost about a third.
Far Cry Primal is priced at $60, the same as Far Cry 4 or any of the other triple A games. Users might feel a little bit cheated if Ubisoft is trying to sell recycled content as new stuff.
The game was just launched for the PC users, and it wasn’t a smooth launch. Far Cry Primal has some performance issues, which is also going to be a point of contention for the community.
