We now know exactly what's coming in the Doom open beta.

id Software says the open beta has "a limited content and feature set," which is intended to encourage as many matches as possible during the closed beta period.

You'll be able to play 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath on the maps Heatwave and Infernal. The only demon available will be the Revenant, but you will have plenty of weapons open to you.

Your tools of destruction will be the Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun. You'll also be able to grab the Gauss Cannon Power Weapon, and as for equipment you'll have the Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, and Siphon Grenade.

The Doom beta will be open to everyone on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It starts on April 15 at 12am EST, and runs through to 11.59 EST on April 17, however you will be able to pre-load from April 12.

Can't wait for this game. I was a hardcore doom fan from the beginning!
