I don't usually write on freebies, but I just had to cover this one, since The Darkness II is one of those hidden gems that I think everyone should get to experience at least once (preferably more). Humble Bundle has been having a free game party of sorts in the last few months, offering games in all directions, and some of those have been actual pearls. The Darkness II is one such, for players who want a story-driven experience. You don't just have to take my word for it - the game currently stands with a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. But yes, do take my word for it - this is a shooter (and more than that) with heart, and a story filled with heart-wrenching moments and interesting psychological outmaneuvers. Oh the asylum... If only we ever got the planned sequel...

100% agree, Darkness 1 and 2 are both amazing games. This series needed a lot more love back in the day.

FYI, The redemption date is April 11th, 2018 at 10:00 AM Pacific. Only 19 or so hours left to "purchase" it
