The team at the Paradox Development Studios is delivering a new video associated with the new The Horse Lords expansion for Crusader Kings II, which is designed to offer a look at all the new features to be added when the new content arrives on July 14.

The grand strategy genre is relatively hard to demo using gameplay footage, but the studio does a good job of explaining why playing as the nomads will offer an entirely new way to tackle the historical experience.

Crusader Kings II will get access to a new nomadic rule system in The Horse Lords, which involves clans that need to be kept in line and demand that leaders deliver conquest and plunder.

Hordes will be a central feature of the expansion, powerful enough to destroy the armies of the more civilized dynasties to the West, but they will require gamers to mobilize their entire population and risk a lot.

Paradox is also placing more emphasis on trading across the Silk Road and will deliver more wealth for those families that can control outposts connected to it.

When The Horse Lords for Crusader Kings II arrives, gamers who have the base game will also get a major patch with extensive tweaks and improvements.
