Call of Duty: World War 2 PC Ver. Will Launch With Anti Cheating and Hacking Measures
PC versions of Call of Duty haven’t been quite as popular as the console versions in a very long time now (despite the franchise originating as a PC exclusive series to begin with); as a result, they often get overrun with hackers and cheaters, who end up ruining the fun for players who do want to play.
That will hopefully not be the case with the upcoming Call of Duty: World War 2. In a blog post, developers Sledgehammer Games confirmed that the complaints regarding the rampant cheating in the beta of the PC version of the game were legitimate, because the beta did not launch with any of the anti-cheating and hacking techniques that will be implemented into the final game. Presumably, Sledgehammer is sitting on those to not tip their hand to hackers.
Let’s just hope that dubious anti-piracy measures, such as Denuvo, aren’t thrown into the mix as part of the package with this justification. Call of Duty: World War 2 launches this November on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Good decision by Sledgehammer to try and combat cheaters and hackers as much as possible. Sadly, I think that there will always be some people who get through these measures, though.

The hackers is why I stopped playing multiplayer COD games but, I always enjoyed their co-op (zombies, survival)
