Bungie's Chief Operating Officer, Pete Parsons, confirms that the Destiny team is constantly monitoring the demands and feedback from players in order to set new goals concerning the content and updates that will appear for the multiplayer shooter.

Destiny launched at the beginning of September and promised to deliver the next evolution in terms of multiplayer first-person shooters, but unfortunately, it ended up disappointing quite a lot of people due to its lackluster story and repetitive gameplay.

Over time, however, quite a few people have returned to the online shooter, largely thanks to the new content and updates launched by developer Bungie based on all the feedback received after the title's launch.

Fan feedback gets turned into new goals at Bungie

According to Bungie COO, Pete Parsons, who has talked with GamesIndustry, the live Destiny team has different priorities, starting with gameplay problems and then reaching all the different demands made by players.

"Certainly, the highest priority is fixing things that are not working, making things that are working well work even better, like bounty slots, and then absolutely responding to things that people want," he explains.

Bungie has taken a pretty good stance on all the feedback from the community and is constantly sharing its ideas for upcoming updates, even if the actual patches aren't rolling out all that often for the game.

Bounty slots, voice chat, or the Tumbler came from the community

Parsons exemplifies Bungie's dedication to community ideas with recently added features, such as more bounty slots or voice chat in matchmaking. According to him, these things appeared based on ideas from the community.

"There are other elements where we continue to add to the game, specifically listen to the community and do entirely new work simply based on what the community wants. An example of that would be more slots for bounties or voice chat in matchmaking. Those are specific things that came directly out of the community asking for them," he adds.

Other elements, such as the new Tumbler Sparrow ship that's better designed to pull off tricks, came after Bungie developers saw videos of players pulling off all sorts of crazy tricks with their rides while exploring the various planets included in the multiplayer shooter.

Destiny is set to receive its first premium add-on, The Dark Below, next month, so you can expect the studio to share even more details about the expansion in the following week, after everybody is done with Thanksgiving and the rest of the autumn holidays.
