Praise the heavens! Batman: Arkham Origins (not to be confused with a completely different game that shares the same name on consoles) has finally come to Android. This free-to-play arcade-styled beat ‘em up game was developed by Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us developer NetherRealm Studios and, impressively enough, runs on the same Unreal Engine 3 that brought us last year’s impressive console counter-part.

This secondary spin-off to last year’s rendition of the Batman Arkham franchise “allows players to face-off against Gotham City’s darkest villains while on the go” and currently holds a Metascore of 63/100.

In other news, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is currently available for $4 on PS Vita, which I would consider to be a much more worthwhile on-the-go Dark Knight simulator. However, in the words of that girl on the Old El Paso taco commercial, why not both?
