A brand-new animated short film for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate game is now available for your viewing pleasure, showcasing, in a nutshell, the main focus of the game's two main protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate introduces quite a few new things to the franchise, from the Victorian London setting, to twin protagonists and a bigger emphasis on creating not just your brotherhood but also your street gang, in order to drive off the Templars from the city's boroughs.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Ubisoft organized a special panel, during which it shared a new animated short film based on Syndicate, directed by F. Gary Gray and animated by Pop Mhan.

The video, available below, shows how the industrial revolution is used by the Templars to extort the poor and how the Frye siblings, alongside their gang The Rooks, are trying to take back London by going after different bad guys.

While their ways are pretty violent, it seems that they are striking a nerve with the common population, as more and more people are joining the gang and the fight against the Templars.

You can also admire a making-of video of the short film, alongside a few new screenshots from Syndicate, ahead of its debut in October.
